Scaling Strategies of Technology Firms in Emerging Markets

Abstract

This working paper examines how technology firms adapt their growth playbooks when entering emerging economies. Drawing on a sample of fast-growing companies across the CIS and the Middle East, we identify recurring patterns in channel selection and partnership formation. The findings suggest that local institutional context, more than firm size, predicts which scaling strategies succeed.
